Cette nuit ont eu lieu les Oscars du jeu de rôle (anglophone) lors de la Gencon et la lutte entre 7th Sea (chez Agate en français) et Tales from The Loop (chez Arkhane Publishing pour dans quelques mois en VF et qui était présent sur place) était le sujet de cette soirée. Voici donc quelques réflexions dans le désordre alors que tout le monde dort là-bas:
Le moins que l’on puisse dire est que l’agréable vent suédois a coulé les fiers navires de 7th Sea, qui arrive souvent deuxième lors de cette soirée. Il est réconfortant de voir que cette nouvelle création a pu s’imposer, ce qui montre que l’on peut faire du nouveau dans le jdr. Pour les curieux, les choix du jury montrent bien qu’ils sortent des sentiers battus et on signalera aussi Lamentations of the Flame Princess qui est systématiquement dans les productions de fond/créativité. Une belle surprise avec l’Oeil Noir qui nous avait déçu avec son livre de règles et le classique Cthulhu est toujours présent. Les européens sont bien vivants et reconnusdans le domaine du jeu à voir les résultats et nominations.
A noter que le choix des fans pour le meilleur éditeur revient à Wizards of the Coast (Gold) et Chaosium (Silver), manière de ne pas trop s’éloigner de Dungeons quand même.
Le choix qui surprend le plus est Masks: A New Generation (bientôt en français chez 500 NG et Powered by the apocalypse, le nouveau système de jeu à la mode) dans la catégorie jeu pour toute la famille. On n’y pense pas forcément à sa lecture mais c’est effectivement une approche qui peut être très intéressante.
Petite déception pour Black Book qui revient bredouille avec Polaris, ainsi que pour Loïc Muzy. Celle-ci est dans une moindre mesure pour lui avec un ENnie d’argent, notre français étant au dessin du Codex de l’Innommable(que nous avons eu en français avant tout le monde et qui sera dans le commerce, publié par Bragelonne à la rentrée) et le supplément a aussi gagné l’or sur la catégorie un peu étrange de « Monstre/Adversaire ». Et justement pour Loïc, l’adversaire suédois était de taille!
Ces ENnies concluent une bonne année de jeu avec un bon cru et montrent donc que le vent ludique du Nord est une bénédiction pour notre hobby qui vit bien trop par le cycle des rééditions.
